PollenCast predicts daily pollen concentrations for grass, birch, ragweed, and 18 other allergenic taxa using phenological development models coupled with atmospheric dispersion simulations. The tool ingests weather forecast data to estimate anthesis timing and pollen release rates, then applies Gaussian plume transport models with gravitational settling to predict local concentrations. Allergy severity indices translate concentrations into clinical symptom risk levels.
