DowelCalc computes lateral design values for timber connections using bolts, lag screws, drift pins, and wood screws per NDS yield mode equations. The tool evaluates all six yield modes simultaneously and reports the governing mode with associated design capacity. Row and group tear-out capacity checks prevent brittle failure modes in multiple-fastener connections.
