AmberIncl classifies biological inclusions in amber from photomicrograph images by matching morphological features against a reference database of 4,800 amber-preserved taxa spanning insects, arachnids, plant fragments, and fungi. The tool estimates amber geological age from inclusion assemblage biostratigraphy and provenance from infrared spectral matching of amber matrix composition to Baltic, Dominican, Burmese, and 12 other major amber deposits. Fake amber detection flags synthetic resin and copal specimens from inclusion preservation anomalies.
